The Western world uses the term “terrorist” and “suicide” to describe the individuals who committed acts such as 9/11 or Fort Hood. One of the reasons the West uses these terms to describe Islamic violence is to demean the act itself. There are even a few Islamic groups who also use the term to describe the actions of Jihadi groups while denouncing the group. Shari’ ah sees things a bit differently. Abu Qatadah Al-Filistini explores the difference between a jihadi act and suicide.
